Join Guiding Teacher Konin Cardenas, Venerable Bhikkhu Bodhi and other Buddhist Teachers on the Triple Gem Express bus from New York City to Washington DC for the Climate March on Washington. This is the first Rolling Retreat, and it includes meditation, talks and wholesoe action to address climate change.
Konin has been invited to give a Dharma talk during the trip, and she plans to speak about engaging in a direct, skillful response to social conditions while maintaining equanimity and compassionate regard for everyone.

Konin will be walking for the fifth year in a row to support the efforts of Buddhist Global Relief, a non-profit that addresses the issues of hunger in the US and around the world by providing food, farming assistance, and education.
The walk begins at 9:30 am at the 79th Street entrance to Riverside Park
The Institute of Buddhist Studies is offering a full day program for those who would like to explore the field of chaplaincy, and learn more about the training requirements and the experience of doing this kind of work.
