This weekend retreat is open to all, and it will be held June 1st and 2nd, 2018 and hosted by the Red Clay Sangha in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Guiding Teacher Konin Cardenas will also give the Dharma talk during the regular Sunday morning program at Red Clay on June 3rd. Participants can join the entire program or Saturday only.
Zen practice is based on the teaching that each moment contains everything that we need to know to be wise and compassionate beings. Yet this teaching did not originate with Zen. It stretches all the way back to the historical Buddha, to the Theravada and the earliest of Buddhist practices.
In this workshop, we will explore together ways to practice right in the midst of a full, contemporary life and discover a knowing that illuminates body and mind, all five aggregates of experience. Participants will engage a variety of meditation forms, hear teaching talks, and will have the opportunity for personal practice encounters with the Teacher. This workshop is suitable for both beginning and experienced practitioners.
