STUDY & ARTS Poem of the Day

2.00

Violet

I step out onto the deck and gaze at the sky

Between the pines and up the hillside.

Don't let anyone tell you

That sunsets don't come in violet.

This cannot possibly be the end.

Perhaps it's only a foretelling

Of the coming of a night

Blanketed in warm darkness,

Stars scattered like so many lost jewels.
